RECENT DEVELOPMENTS Ride Around the World Coming June 2006
In early February, GSF and producer/director Trinity Films invited 27 pre-lease partners down to Austin , Texas for a rough cut screening and overall summit. The overall reaction to the film was very positive, and Trinity Films has been working since the theater summit to improve the film based on some very thoughtful feedback. Ride Around the World is fully funded, with major sponsorship provided by Ford Motor Company. The film tells the story of the thousand-year global evolution of the cowboy by transporting viewers to little known corners of the world where horse and cattle cultures have thrived in essentially the same way for centuries. The film is set to premiere at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History on May 26, and will be available to all theaters beginning June 2. Contact Steve Jennings, Tina Ratterman or Annette Roesler by e-mail or phone if you are interested in obtaining more details or booking information. Royal Welcome
for Prince Charles and Camilla at Mystic India World Premiere
in London Journalists and photographers captured the arrival of the Royal Highnesses and the guests of the Premiere. The press coverage that followed was spread throughout the United Kingdom, raising awareness for Mystic India beyond expectations. Prince Charles and Camilla were greeted by a large
group of children representing many countries and cultures, expressing
the film's central theme of "Unity in Diversity." “It was an honor to meet the Royal Family and to hear their genuine support of Mystic India in the speech given by Prince Charles. Their support of the film exemplifies the relevance of the film's core message that we are a single human family,” said Don Kempf of Giant Screen Films. Mystic India rediscovers India, a land of many mysteries and fascinations, revealing its ancient culture, intricate architecture, colorful festivals and dedicated, talented people. The event raised over $75,000 to benefit Bhartiya Yuva Shakti Trust (BYST), a charity based in India. BYST is actively involved with Youth Business International, UK (YBI). YBI was founded as a joint venture of The Prince of Wales International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) and the Prince's Trust to enable the business community to promote youth entrepreneurship.
The BAPS volunteer event production team for the Premiere was led by Hitan Mehta, who worked closely with the museum marketing and theater teams to ensure a successful event. Many thanks to BAPS for the outstanding hospitality and well planned World Premiere. Mystic India is produced by BAPS, a volunteer-based NGO affiliated with the United Nation's Education, Culture and Humanitarian Services.
